Woolen Mittens

Baby mittens?

How long do you let your baby wear mittens? I mean until how many months then you stop wearing mittens for your baby? My baby is 11 weeks and still wearing mittens when she is sleeping. I have tried taking out the mittens when she sleeps but she ended up scratching her face. I have cuther finger nails every week but she still scratches her face if without mittens. So now I only remove her mittens when she is not sleeping and I am around to stop her from scratching.

1. I never put mittens on my baby. But she never scratched her face. I did try and put them on her when it was winter and freezing, But she wouldn't have a bar of it. Mind you she was 4 months old when winter came. I would just keep them on her at night until she learns to take them off.
2. My boys scratched the crap out of themselves, they wore mittens right up to about 3 months!!
3. Keep the mittens on as long as its needed. She is just now starting to realize that she has these hands and that they are attached to her. Keep nails trim she'll edventualy stop. Their just still trying to figure out what it is their supposed to be doing. Good luck.
