- Go to www.coatsandclark.com or www.lionbrand.com and check out their patterns. Both sites are sponsored by yarn manufacturers, so they want us to have all the help and patterns we need to keep knitting -- and buying yarn, of course, hopefully theirs. The sites are free, though, no matter where you get your yarn. They have tutorials and patterns, and even a page that translates all the pattern abbreviations if you need help. Check out their patterns. Look for one for baby mittens, one that's labeled "beginner." If you have no luck, email me back (click on my avatar for an email link) and I'll tell you how to figure out how to make your own pattern. I will tell you that finding a pattern already prepared is tons easier, when you can find what you want. Most real baby mittens have no thumb, so it shouldn't be a difficult pattern.
- Go to needle crafts shop, they will teach you how to, if you know how to read the instruction or pattern and you can knit fast, it might take few hours to finish a pair, but for the beginner it might take a day or two, do not give up, you can do it. Good luck
