What Style of Gloves Compliment a Wool Coat? I'm looking to purchase some gloves that are warm, but also compliment a wool coat. The coat is black and has buttons, similar to a pea coat but not double breasted. I have tried leather driving gloves but they look goofy with the slightly over sized sleeves on the coat.
grey merino wool gloves? i was looking online and found a pair of grey 100% merino wool knit gloves on sale for 6.99. is merino wool warm enough for NY winter weather? are they good quality? the description also says the gloves were woven in Italy. My mom has bought from this company before so i know its not a scam or something. Also is this a good price? thanks in advance!
Would you buy wool products such as hats sweaters, scarves & gloves? I eat vegan and do not buy products in which animals were killed, such as leather. But this winter however I bought a fairly traded wool hat from Nepal. An animal was not killed so I could wear its hair. Should I or any body else be concerned about using wool products? I feel like I supported people who would normally have little other means of making a living. What are your thoughts on this matter?
looking for wool gloves? Ok, i want fingerless wool gloves and a full wool gloves. any good website link? I want grey or black. The only i could find is some at REI, which are brown and 10 for fingerless, 20 for full. I also found some army ones, but they look disgusting since there is writing on the outside, and the full ones have a bad fitting. so any advice?

What to wear with fingerless gloves? I bought a pair of elbow length, lacy wool fingerless gloves. Their a light brown color. I have no idea what to wear them with.. a long sleeve shirt would cover them, but if I'm wearing a tee shirt, whats the point of wearing wool gloves? What do most people do? Why does everyone seem to vote that I go naked with them? I don't see anything sexy about gloves!
How to fix a pair of ripped cotton gloves...? My friend recently gave me a pair of wool/cotton gloves from Hot Topic. If you've been there..I'm talking about the fingerless ones. The hole I'd say is about two inches on the thumb sleeve..Everyone I know says they can't fix it for me..Is there anyway I could by using a needle and thread..? Thanks.
Does anyone know the name of those gloves that are wool, 2 colors, patterend, and often sold as fundraisers? I purchased a pair of these gloves for 5 dollars, they were my favorite gloves ever, and were accidentally thrown away. I am trying to find out the name to locate them without having to wait until I stumble upon a fund raising table somewhere that happens to be selling them. this is a picture of the exact type of gloves i am talking about, i just cant find them anywhere and wish to have a possible brand name or company that I can find them at... they are a knit wool glove. http://cgi.ebay.com/BLUE-MULTICOLOR-wool-knit-blend-gloves-glove_W0QQitemZ6782245913QQihZ013QQcategoryZ105568QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem this guy is selling them on e-bay but the colors are horrible, so I was trying to find the company for more colors and patterns.
Physics-a wool cloth and balloon-simple but i can't get it!!? A- A balloon is rubbed with a wool glove. The two items attract one another with a force of strength 0.6 N when they are 1 cm apart. If they have equal but opposite charges, what is the magnitude of the charge? B-How many electrons were transferred?

A local store is selling hemp fingerless gloves. Does hemp keep one warm? I'm not for or against hemp clothing. I just happen to come by these fingerless gloves for a good price. My current ones made of Alpaca Wool are falling apart and I don't want to pay $23 for them which is what they cost. The hemp ones are only $11. Will they keep my hands warm while I work? I talked to the store that sells the fingerless hemp gloves. The clerk said that hemp is warmer than cotton but not as warm as wool. I ended up not buying the gloves.
where can i get bespoke men's gloves in London? i have such trouble finding gloves that fit me! the fingers are always too long or the palm/wrist too tight if i go down a size. I've been looking for some place nice in london that can make decent quality men's bespoke or made-to-masure gloves. ideally in wool or cashmere but leather would be okay too. not looking for mail order, i want to be able to go into a shop and feel the material first.
Is a wool bomber enough to keep me warm during the winter? I hate those big padded coats and I can't bring anything with a hoodie into school (it's a rule). It's fall and right now it's 33 degrees fahrenheit in the morning so it will surely be way colder soon as winter rolls around. I'm going to wear boots, mittens or gloves, a scarf, a hat, and thermals underneath my clothing.
Women and leather gloves...? This might sound really weird. I get excited every year knowing that winter is coming. For some reason it turns me on seeing women wear leather gloves. It's not the same if they wear wool gloves. I get excited that winter is coming because I know that some women will be busting out their black leather gloves. Especially if they're really tight and conform to the shape of their hands. Is this awkward? How would you explain this? The fact that that turns me on; does that mean i'm more of a submissive person?
Where can I find the warmest gloves and hat on the planet??? Alright, I have recently gotten an opportunity to travel to Alaska and Siberia and therefore, it has been requested that I buy some WARM clothing. So i guess my question is where can I find the warmest gloves and hat especially but boots as well, which can be Fur(which I assume is incredibly warm) but it can also be another material such as Wool or Goretex. The reason this is so important to me is that when you get in temperatures such as that of Siberia, it can kill you very quickly if you cannot stay warm. Considering I am from TN, I do not know cold like I am about to go into. Therefore, individuals items or companies would help greatly but I am pretty much asking how Inuits or Eskimos or the the people of Siberia, what do they wear to survive? Cost is not as much an option. Granted, there definitely is a limit to what I can spend, however, my main concern is that IT WORKS. Anyways, hope you all can help, thanks.
What's fashionable in the world of Men's gloves this Autumn? My hands are cold and I want to get some new gloves today. I'll be out shopping in and around Oxford Street London, if anyone wants to recommend a good shop too. Probably prefer Wool or similar to Leather. It's going to be a cold Autumn/Winter this year, mark my words. Be prepared with a good pair of Gloves. Ok so incase you hadn't guessed I'm a little bored.
What is the weather like in San Fransisco and Monterey CA in January? My husband and I are going to CA...Him for business me for tagging along. I will be touring around mostly on foot and was wondering what I should bring as I only wanted to bring a carry on....Boots? Rain coat? Wool coat? Gloves? I have no idea what normal temperatures are there. Any help is extremely appreciated. =) Thanks so much!
Where can I buy fingerless gloves? I'm looking for a store in Canada that sells good quality fingerless gloves, but ones that aren't too expensive. Does anyone know a good store I could check out? I'm looking for some that aren't made of wool, preferably. Thanks. :)
Vegans: Would you use a wool blanket? I am a new vegan but i wouldnt ever wear or use fur coats, leather gloves, etc. But im not sure if i would use a wool blanket. It doesnt hurt an animal at all. Would other vegans use a wool blanket? Thank you!!
how do you get rid of static in your clothes without re-washing them? My wool winter coat has a lot of static energy, which causes me to have a lot of static energy (you should see my hair), while also passing the static energy on to my wool scarf and gloves. They are all clean and I don't want to over wash/dry clean them, so how do I get rid of the static? Does rubbing dryer sheets on the material really work? Is there some sort of technique involved?
What's the best way to dress for cold/snowy winter weather (in Omaha)? I'm going away for college in Omaha, Nebraska soon and I am worried about what to wear especially during the winter. I've never lived in cold weather before. Where I am from, the coldest it gets is in the low 60s. I'm mostly concerned about walking from class to class in the cold weather. I keep getting different answers from people (down jackets, wool coats, leather gloves, uggs, leather boots) and I have no idea what to buy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! =D
Why do people look scared or follow me when I wear leather gloves? I normally were a trackie with footy sock tuck-ins, trainers and often a cap or wool hat - which is what i feel like myself in, but i get hated on for that as it is. when i wear gloves, sometimes wool but usually i prefer black leather i get even more grief, like people starin, crossing the street or going back in the other direction. Or worse still i get followed round shops, like when i was in currys the other day - there was 3 of them that didn't leave my side. whats there problem? Sometimes i do were leather gloves with a footy tshirt but thats just how lads round here dress - there cant be owt wrong in that? yeah Lil Yankee, youre american - say no more
How can I get blood out of clothes and carpet? I have blood on a pair of jeans, wool sweater, and a pair of fleece gloves. Also what is best for blood on the carpet? Your guys' responses are hilarious. Denise T your response is disturbing... No dead bodies people, LOL. No murders.
What clothes to bring to NYC in December? I know that it will be very, very cold. Would this be warm enough? A cashmere sweater, wool coat, jeans, boots, leather gloves, scarf, and a hat?.... Or would I need more layers. I really would prefer not to wear a down coat. I live in Texas so I am used to warm weather.
How do you get rid of "Static Shock"?.? I recently purchased a hat with matching gloves, made of Angora,Wool,Polyester, and Nylon. I will have to send the set to the cleaners, when it's time. I can't get in and out of my car without getting shocked.
How do you fix a mineral deposit toilet ring? We have a seldom used bathroom that I still clean every week, but It's developed a horrible ring from our hard water. I used toilet bowl cleaner, bleach, even put on gloves and went at it with steel wool. Our other more used bathrooms don't have this bad of an issue. Is it because it doesn't get flushed as much/ And how do I get rid of it?
Can you spin steel wool into thread? & how? so i constantly rip my jeans on things like nails and wire and shit that i randomly run into at work and was thinking of materials that would be resistant to tearing from a nail... at first i thought spider silk, but it'd be more than a little hard to get enough to make a pair of pants. so is it possible to spin steel wool? that would be perfect for the job. but from my experiences of handling steel wool, using your bare hands to spin it would widdle right through the flesh AND bone before you spun enough of it to make a pair of pants. so how would you go about spinning steel wool into thread without losing your hands in the process? I can already spin... i just have no idea how you'd spin steel wool without cutting your hands to bits. i think you'd have to already have a pair of gloves made out of some steel wool lol
What to wear around campus when it's snowing? I'm moving from Florida to go to college up North, so I'm not sure what you would wear in the snow. I know you wear ski pants/jackets when skiing or outside for a long time, but what should I wear just walking around campus? Will tights, jeans, layered shirts and a wool jacket keep me warm enough? (along with hats, scarves, gloves, etc.) I'll need to be able to take off layers so I can sit in class without sweating. Any other suggestion are appreciated. Thanks!
Where can I get the cheapest of these articles of clothings? 1) A Bomber Jacket 2) Fingerless gloves (preferably leather, but ultimately whatever I can find cheapest. Just not the wool ones. I can make those myself, thanks.) 3) Armwarmers - any color, really. Pref'bly like the fingerless gloves, but longer, as arm warmers. 4) A quality studded belt, or any belt that's suitably punk-rock/glam 5) Chunky black boots with no more than an inch and a half heel. 6) A black choker necklace (Studded would be cool, but nothing over the top. Just something that looks different, and maybe a wee bit menacing. ;) ) 7) A shorter leather jacket. Thanks, guys. Even if you only know about a deal on one of these, post for one. I'm welcoming any info I can get. Cheers.
Top hospital without cotton wool.? Delhi Government's top hospital Lok Nayak Hospital does not have something as basic as cotton wool. This is the way it has been hospital for the last 10 months. Hence, When patients go to LNJP hospital they are required to buy apart from surgical gloves, plaster, bandages, and medicinesm, bundles of cotton wool from the near by row of medical stores. Here is statement of Rinku (Patient) rinku 24, who fractured his right leg in an accident was asked to buy cotton and bandages for ther plaster, '' We bought cotton and medicines from the outside shop, i was in pain but the doctor did'nt attent to me as they were waiting for my family members to get cotton for plastering, ''He said. Now the question is that what we should do for this shamefull situation while medical superintendent has power to meet the requirement from the local market, What can you ( public) do against this? ofcourse we can complain to NGO or others power but what our responsbilities. if patients are asked to buy cotton or any thing they started following istructions.is that good?

How to clean a World War I uniform......wool? I have my grandfather's WW1 uniform unpacked from his army trunk but don't have a clue as to how to try to clean it. I'm sure the fabric is very fragile and I just don't think any dry cleaners around here would even touch it! There was a pair of gloves in the trunk which pretty much disintegrated and there is white moldly stuff on the uniform. Any ideas on how to tackle this? All pieces seem to be 100% wool. Oh, WOW, this is sounding soooo expensive! Makes me want to just pack them back in the trunk and let another generation handle it! I have no idea what a professional is going to cost but it can't be cheap! Is it really worth it? Would anyone care? Some tough questions for me to consider!

need help with this lab. please help? To use data to: Differentiate between exothermic and endothermic reactions' temperature information. Determine if a reaction is exothermic or endothermic. Materials Thermometer Jar, large enough for thermometer to fit in, with lid Small plastic or glass container Vinegar Steel wool Gloves to protect hands while working with steel wool Place the thermometer in the jar and close the lid. Wait five minutes for the thermometer to adjust to the temperature. Open the lid and record the temperature. In the other container, soak a small piece of the steel wool in the vinegar for about one minute. Separate the steel wool so that vinegar can reach all the filaments. The vinegar needs to be at room temperature. Squeeze the excess vinegar from the steel wool. Wrap the steel wool around the thermometer and place both in the jar (you can use a rubber band). Close the lid. After five minutes open the lid and record the temperature. Note: Be sure that the vinegar and all other materials are at room temperature as directed. Record temperature changes carefully and accurately, because the change in temperature will be small What was the initial temperature in the jar? What was the temperature after the reaction? What was the change in temperature? Based on information from Part I and from observations, was this reaction Exothermic or Endothermic? Are chemical bonds forming or breaking? In this experiment, the acidic vinegar dissolved a protective coating off the steel wool, allowing the oxidation of the steel to begin. This process is called rusting. In this reaction, iron is combined with oxygen gas to form iron oxide. Hint: An iron (III) product is formed. Write the balanced chemical reaction for the rusting of iron
FIX and continue or toss it out? should i finish this or is it basically a pice of useless sh*t? It was a beautiful evening. The sun was slowly melting into the white ribbons of clouds, and the rosy pink sky transforming it into something much darker. Sort of a marble blue sprinkled with powdered sugar stars. The moon was a bright crescent, and when its light hit my hair, it made it appear as though it was silk. Bright, fiery orange silk that is. My father would always tell me that I was a spitting image of my mother. We both possessed the wavy flame hair, the cucumber green eyes, the soft ivory skin, and the dark coal eyelashes. The funny thing was my face was free of freckles. I was glad about that though. I preferred my face spot free. I was sitting in the park on my favorite bench. It was worn and weathered, the wood was gradually falling apart, and only one spot of the old white paint remained. Today was Wednesday, the last day of school before winter break. A thick blanket of snow embodied the damp evening earth, making the brown stems of grass vanish. The tree tops also wore the same heavy blanket of snow, making the tree trunks weak and limp. I shivered in my heavy winter coat, and wrapped it around me tighter. The cold had turned my cheeks a warm flushed pink, which boldly stood out on my pale face. I checked my watch to find that it was almost nine o’ clock. My dad would be worried about me, and I thought it would be nice to get inside our warm oven of a house. I stood up from the bench and brushed some fallen snow off of my jeans. My hands were frozen inside my cream wool gloves, making it hard to move my fingers. The good thing was, I only lived three streets away and if I ran I could get there in about three minutes. I decided it was time to run. As I ran my throat instantly dried, making it feel cracked and uncomfortable. I tried swallowing as much as possible, but it wasn’t enough. My nose felt so numb that it could fall off any second now. I placed one gloved hand over it to try to heat it up, but my hands were already icicles. I turned the last street corner and immediately ran into my street, Bluebell drive. My house was the second on the left, number 206. I sprinted up the cracked concrete driveway towards the front door, heaving in iced air. As soon as I opened the sleek black front door a full blast of heat hit my face, slowly thawing it out. I removed my gloves (hoping to find all of my fingers were attached), set them down on the table next to the front door along with my student ID and numbly walked over to the lit fire place. “Evangeline, is that you?” My dad called from the kitchen. “Yeah, it’s me dad,” I said chattering my teeth. “Have you been outside this whole time? It’s freezing out there!” he said as he walked into the family room, ending up right beside me. “Sorry. Yes yes yes, it won’t happen again.” “Well, you seem to always say that yet you come inside like you have been put in a freezer for hours!” “Ok, well I’m going upstairs. Good night,” I said stumbling to my feet as I headed towards the stairs. Even though I yearned for the heat of the fire, I didn’t really feel like listening to a responsibility lecture right now. “Ok, see you tomorrow. Oh by the way, I want you to go talk to the Montgomery boy across the street. They have been here for almost a year now and you haven’t even seen him! It’s kind of rude of you.” “But dad, what if he is some kind of freak who thinks I’m his friend and tries to start hanging out with me!” I whined now halfway upstairs. “You never know until you try Evangeline. Good night,” he said as he walked back into the kitchen. I rolled my eyes and groaned as I continued up the stairs to my room. My brother, Jack, was already asleep so I quietly opened my bedroom door and closed it as softly as I could. I quickly flicked the switch on the wall to the right of me, instantly infusing the room with a soft, luminous glow. I walked over to my open closet and dug through a bin of t-shirts and shorts. Numbly, I slipped out of my blue suede boots, my dark skinny jeans, my knee high army green socks, my white long sleeve shirt, my purple sweater, and my cream winter coat and put on an old Mickey Mouse t-shirt along with black biker shorts. I decided to slip my socks back on just in case I got cold, even though the house was burning up. For some reason I was exhausted, so I turned my light off, lied down on my bed, and immediately fell asleep. ***** I woke up to the sounds of Jack’s toy trucks racing down the upstairs hallway. Sure, he was ten but he never seemed to get tired of those trucks. “Jack! keep it down!” I yelled from my room. “Dad says you need to get up anyways.” he said now in the doorway of my room holding a red truck in his left hand. “He wants you to get ready and go to the Montgomery’s.” he said walking away. I sighed and threw the covers off of me. The sun seeped through my closed curtain making small rays on the wood floor. I rub it didn't even post it all! hold on.... I rubbed my eyes and stood up with a bit of a sway. My alarm clock read 9:32 in flashy red numbers. They seemed a little too flashy for my liking. I slowly walked over to my closet and took out a turquoise log sleeved shirt, a pink braided- strap dress, a hounds tooth sweater, some very thick black tights, and my winter coat. I prayed this would keep me warm today. The upstairs bathroom was unoccupied so I decided now was a good time to take a shower. Once I was cleaned up and dressed I slipped on my black suede boots and headed downstairs. My dad was sitting on the couch watching a re- run of King of Queens, and eating a half empty bowl of cheerios. He waved goodbye once I told him I was heading out and went back to mindlessly staring at the television screen. I slipped on my heavy coat, opened the front door, and slowly walked to the end of my driveway. The Montgomery’s house was across the street, one house down. It was a simple white two story house, with perfectly trimmed square bushes along the front lawn. The windows had freshly painted black shutters, and window boxes that were overflowing with white jasmine. I stuffed my hands in my pockets as I made my way across the street to the pleasant little house to meet this unknown family. I pressed the doorbell once I reached the front door and took a step back. I wondered how these people would react to just now meeting their neighbor. I had been invited over in the past, or asked to go visit, but I always seemed to find a way around it. Today I guess I wasn’t so lucky. Plus, I had to face them sooner or later. In only a few seconds time the glossy red door opened revealing a pleasant looking woman holding an apple in her left hand. “Well hello.” “Hi. I’m Evangeline. I um, live right across the street.” “Oh, of course! Come on in sweetie,” she said opening the door more now to let me in. The house smelled of fresh flowers, and sweet red apples. “Thanks,” I said as I reluctantly stepped inside. “You know, I have always meant to come by but I have just been so busy. This is a lovely house you have by the way.” “Well, thanks. We just finished up all of the remodeling about a week ago. You should have seen this place before. It was a disaster!” she rambled on as we walked into the family room. Her husband was sitting on the couch reading today’s paper, and a boy who looked to be about my age was sitting at their dark wooden table reading a book. “Evangeline, this is my husband, Tyce.” “Nice to meet you” he said reaching his hand out to shake mine. His palm was rough with calluses and at least twice the size of mine. “You too.” I said with a kind smile. They seemed nice enough so far. “And this is my son, Blair.” she said proudly gesturing over to him. It was almost as if she was showcasing her own son. Blair gracefully pushed himself up from the table, and walked over to meet me. “It’s a pleasure.” he said with a gentle smile. I shook his hand, and examined him more as well, whatever. there is too much to post anyways. thanks for the feedback.
anyone have a schizophrenic sibling? how is it for you? i just called my sister this evening for christmas. for about 16 years, she only gave us her PO box and called my dad a couple of times a year. now she's had a phone for under a year and i can call her. she sounds so glum and sad and alone. (she's now, for less than a year, living in a home for retirees and disabled people-she's 50). it's upsetting to speak with her but despite her lack of enthusiasm, i heard that she likes calls. it's hard to make a connection. i live in another country. i sent her some nice wool gloves that she requested as a gift and some nice wool slipper socks. any info about your experience is welcome. sad sister. i have not yet visited her, since we got her address. i live in a different continent. i am not really there for her, so far away and i think it's too costly for her to call me. i can call her for free and sent her things and hopefully i'll have the courage to visit her this year. it's hard, cause she lives very far from other family members, so visiting involves flying to her city, going to a hotel, renting a car. and hanging out on my own in the periods when it's too much for either of us to be together.

Help from bat experts please? Well, first let me explain my situation. I live in Iran, and one of my friends brought a bat from up north for me. I am really not sure why, I do love bats, but I don't know why they brought one. Anyways, he brought it a few days ago. It looks to be like some sort of little brown bat, perhaps. Everyone says to take it to an expert, or a vet, but what I want to make clear is that you don't really come across bat experts here, nor a vet that knows about bats. And there are no laws saying you can't keep one, so I wanted to just keep him till summer, because it is cold out now, so he would hibernate, but it is too late to start hibernation, that would mess up his "internal clock" and all the insects have died, or hibernated, whatever they do, so he can't fend for himself, and he will die. So I just wanted to keep him till spring, when I can let him go. But I had a few questions about him. He seems to eat meat, but not very much of it, and he drinks water. Is there some other food and/or drink I can feed him that he would maybe eat more of, or "prefer"? When I handle him, I use thick wool gloves. But sometimes he bites them, and he suckles them. What's up with that? Any other information (taking care of one) would be appreciated, thank you!

Place the thermometer in the jar and close the lid. Record temperature changes carefully and accurately, because the change in temperature will be small. Analysis Copy and paste these questions into a Word document, and save it as an .rtf file.
